Houmous

Ingredients

Chick Peas 1 cup
Tahini (Sesame seed paste) 1/3 cup
Lemon juice 2 lemon
Garlic 5 cloves
Salt 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Yogurt 1/4 cup
Olive Oil 1/4 cup
Parsley 1 tbsp

Method
  1. Soak dried chick peas in a bowl of water for 6 - 8 hours
  2. Cook until the chick peas are tender. Omit step 1&2 if using canned beans.
  3. In a food processor, add the chick peas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, cumin powder and salt. blend until smooth. Add water as needed.
  4. Garnish with parsley and olive oil.
