Nellikka Chutney

Ingredients
  1. Nellikka (Gooseberry/Amla) - 3
  2. Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
  3. Bird's eye chili - 3
  4. Small Onion / Shallot (Optional) - 2 
  5. Ginger (Optional) - 1/2" piece
  6. Curry Leaves (Optional) - 2 or 3
  7. Salt - As required
  8. Fresh Coriander Leaves chopped (Optional) - 2Tbsp 

Nellikka Chutney
Method
  • Remove seeds from Gooseberry and cut into small pieces
  • Clean Shallot, Ginger, Bird's eye chili, Curry Leaves, Coriander Leaves and cut into small pieces
  • Put all the ingredients into mixie
  • Add Coconut and Salt into it
  • Coarsely grind it without adding water
  • Serve with rice / kanji
